What a difference a year makes; finding spaces, marking their man, spreading across the field rather than swarming like wasps, the under 8’s have grown both mentally and physically.
First off the mark was Sam Osborn running right through the Brixham defences to put the ball over the line, then with a series of outstanding passes and running, William Throgmorton closely followed with a second try. Brixham tried to fight back, but the Totnes team just ran over them from start to finish. The most impressive attribute of this group of boys was that they did not get greedy for the ball and when they ran into the Brixham defences, passed the ball out for their team mates to score, with Sam Osborn scoring another try, William James scoring two tries and Seth Perkins scoring two. ‘Froggy’ their coach has obviously been teaching these boys a trick or two.
The final score was Totnes 35 Brixham 15, with William James being awarded Man of the Match

The next generation of Totnes Rugby had a storming start to their season against Brixham. They showed huge potential with early passing and running. Alex Harris proved to be the most dangerous boy on the field with seven tries and Jack scoring the other one. Finlay Armstrong was the shield that Brixham could not get around with tag after tag.
The score was 40-15 to Totnes with Finley being awarded Man of the Match.
